Customize About page in similar way to 'SiteSetting.guidelines_topic_id'

Hi.
Is it possible, that way or any other way, to customize /about page?
But as with the SiteSetting, would be preferable where a complete custom page could serve as /about . Many thanks.

Extended About Page
