I was just at a talk by Giorgia Lupi and it made me think of Discourse. (I’ll update this post when the video becomes available)
In addition to many awesome data visualizations, Giorgia has been creating these buttons for conferences:
When you look at the other images in the Instagram post, you can see that they are generated based on a questionnaire that attendees completed. People with similar colors, patterns, or symbols gave similar answers. I think it’s a great icebreaker for conversations and an easy way to see who else is in the room - or in a Discourse group.
So I just wanted to leave you with this idea, that it could be neat to use a questionnaire-based profile picture or background image generator like this on Discourse. In case anyone needs a plugin idea…
