I noticed that the number of users to be activated has decreased day by day. Is this due to ?
I have set “purge unactivated users grace period days” to 0 and despite this, inactive users are removed ?
User accounts which don’t verify are still purged AFAIK.
If they didn’t confirm their email address its doubtful that you have the right to keep their personally-identifying information in your database.

It makes sense but how long it takes for such users to be removed?
How many attempts to resend an email and confirm the address?
But I’ve checked it carefully and it’s impossible. Each newly created account is verified by an email address otherwise it is not created.
So what are the criteria for these accounts to get lost?
