Deleting moderator copies of system messages to user?

So as an Admin of our board, Staff gets a copy of system messages to users like “Thanks for spending time with us!” when they go up a trust level. I’ve been just blithely archiving these as they’re not critical for Staff to see.

I wanted to check if this is a mistake: Does archiving these from the Moderator Inbox also remove it for the user, or is it just hiding from our view? I also wonder if we need zillions of copies of these messages archived, but didn’t want to risk deleting them before the user gets to read it.

Staff should only be getting notifications for system messages if you have added a group name to the site contact group name setting.

Archiving those pms will only archive them for your Moderator’s inbox. It will not affect the target user’s ability to read the PM.
