Disable Email Verification for Discourse Plugin

There might be minor bugs but if it’s ever unusable I will fix it, since I’m using it on my forum in prod

@codergautam Thank you so much for building this plugin.

Unfortunately I just installed it on the latest version of Discourse and it does not work. It’s still requiring email activation.

Seems like its not working for half the people in this thread so if you ever have time to fix it it would be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

Hello! There are updates here?

It seems to be the most simple solution for those who don’t want users clicking a link and then a button on page to validate their accounts.

Unfortunately nobody wants to do extra clicks on scrolling social-media era.

I installed this plugin but my users are still stuck on the login page saying,

You can’t log in yet. We previously sent an activation email to you at **email. Please follow the instructions in that email to activate your account.

Is there any working plugin for this or what is the issue, why it is not letting my users sign up without email confirmation?

@codergautam

Hello, this plugin is not working. Please update it.

Can you please provide some more information – what isn’t working? Are you getting errors?

Hi, I’m really sorry this plugin has issues. I’ve been really busy with school and couldn’t look into this plugin. I won’t suggest anyone use this plugin in production before testing it in a development instance.

I will be investigating this plugin soon since people are interested in it and hopefully will release a fix soon! It might be related to some new Discourse updates since from my experience since they update frequently.

If anyone has info about the current issues, it would be much appreciated!

I am having this issue. This plugin is an important plugin. I am getting this error after Discourse update. It was working before Discourse update.

The code of this plugin is not difficult. But I don’t understand it. If someone with coding knowledge can fix this, I would be very happy.

Any simple step is complicated. I wanted to avoid all the steps of setting up email sending, but the steps needed to avoid needing email verification are more complicated than setting up email. hahaha. I miss the good old phpBB forum.

Any update about this plugin? I’ve installed and doens’t working.

This really should be a core feature, for us with SSO enabled it’s an unnecessary hurdle for users.

Unfortunately I can confirm it doesn’t work.
