Discourse not scrolling smoothly any more

Hi folks,

I have noticed that within the last month (or two), that Discourse forums I read no longer “scroll smoothly” through topics. That is, as I scroll through a long topic, my browser screen jumps up to show a post about two or three prior. I can usually fiddle around to scroll to later posts, but I haven’t figured a consistent workaround.

I am moderator on the OpenWrt forum forum.openwrt.org which is using Discourse 3.4.0.beta3-dev

I also see this on the Bitwarden forum (community.bitwarden.com)

I primarily use Firefox 131.0.3 (64-bit) on a Mac.

What other diagnostic info could I provide? Many thanks.

What have bitwarden done with the mobile header . No menus or search?

I think that’s a very ambitious amount of content for a header on mobile.

Might be better as a single drop-down?

is this on a laptop with a trackpad? I’ve been experiencing the same issue

Can you confirm this happens here as well? Does it happen in safe mode?

I’ve been trying to repro on Brave browser on a Macbook Pro using trackpad in this 160+ replies topic - negative so far.
