I am just an enthusiast of community programs and do not know how to code. I use community programs mostly for personal and family knowledge bases, and I do not open registration.
I have been playing around with Discuz, vBulletin, and XenForo for about 10 years in total.
The first time I encountered Discourse was in December 2025, and I migrated from XenForo without hesitation. Discourse is fantastic; its cutting-edge innovation, the timely response from the meta community, and the program’s operational stability impressed me the most.
But since using Discourse, I’ve “developed an illness”: I can’t resist wanting to rebuild and upgrade every day ![]()
