Error - Port 443 not open?

Hi,
This is probably a basic Question, but: I’m currently tring to install Discourse onto my Ubunut Server but I always get this Error:

My DNS Setting seem correct:

Disabling the Proxy (and waiting a while) should fix the problem :thinking:

Because being behind Cloudflare Proxy doesn’t show the real IP of the server, so Discourse can’t verify correctly

Well I use Cloudflare to connect my Domain to the ip of the server

I see it, but the orange cloud must be disabled (gray) for the server’s subdomain (At least, at install time)

Ah, so cloudflare is fine unless I turn the orange cloud off?

I think you mean one of these:

  • It’s fine if you unless you turn the orange cloud on.

  • It’s fine if you the the orange cloud off.

  • It’s fine if you turn the gray cloud on.

Hm, I disabled the proxy at Cloudflare but it still doesn’t work…

It can take minutes, or even up to 24 hours for the change to take effect
