Forgot root password

I forgot my root password and cannot log in when I execute the following command.

ssh root@XXX.XXX.XXXX

Is there a way to confirm or change my password?

Also, do you know the minimum root password requirements for installing Discorse?
I will do my best to remember.

It depends on your host. If it’s digitalocean they have a reset password option on their control panel. Others will have their own way.

Contact the hosting provider to reset it, and i recommand you should using a SSH Key instead of password.
