HEIC Images not loading in posts - appearing as URLs

Hello,
A few months ago my discourse installation stopped inserting images into posts and instead only displays them as a URL to the image to download.
I haven’t edited any code, I wondered if anyone can help understand what is happening?

How are you adding the images to the post? Can you share screen recording of an image being shared and the URL that shows?

Is sidekiq running? Have you rebooted or upgraded recently?

Thanks for the questions - they made me check things and the photo upload does work for me.

Oh this is using the new HEIC file format. Support for that is kinda recent on Discourse, are you running latest? Can you upload the same image here or on try successfully ?

Yes, works fine.

Discourse did convert it to a widely supported format, JPG, so everyone can actually see it. That may fail, so I’d check /logs on your instance for clues.
