Sometimes moderators accidentally edit posts of other users instead of editing their own posts or pressing Reply (especially on mobile).
Is it possible to hide the edit button into the ... menu when it is not your own post?
Do you have a custom theme installed?
Hiding the edit button in the ... menu is the default behaviour:

ah, looks like I removed it from post menu hidden items.
It’s confusing that this option seems to hide it only on the posts from other users, while on your own posts it is always visible.
