How long before a new Patreon is given access to the Patreon-only private forum? Its been 25 mins.

Edit: Got it to work by manually syncing with this button:

Prior to that, the last automatic sync was 5 hours ago. So going to look into setting up webhook.

According to the guide, the sync job is run 4 times a day as a default:

The Discourse Patreon plugin runs a background job 4 times a day to sync users on your site to groups that you have linked with Patreon. If you would like the syncing to happen faster than that, you can configure a webhook to trigger a new sync every time someone signs up for a reward tier on your Patreon account.

To do that, first visit Patreon and create a new webhook that is pointing to https://discourse.example.com/patreon/webhook

Thanks, yes the webhook works well.

If the user was already a patron when he signs up for Discourse the access is instant.

If the user becomes a patron after signing up for Discourse and you have webhooks configured the access is instant.

If the user becomes a patron after signing up for Discourse and you don’t have webhooks configured the access takes up to 6 hours.
