For heavy moderated instances like mine, where we vet new members for a few days/weeks, a reject reason box that sends a notification to the topic starter would be great. Currently, if a topic/post gets rejected under the moderation period, a user doesn’t have a clue why. 8 out of 10 times he will try the same post over and over again, thinking it’s a bug. It would be awesome if there was a box where mods/admins could state why their topic was rejected.

The approval process is being centralized and totally reworked by @eviltrout at the moment.

This would be very useful.
Currently when we reject new topic user doesn’t know if he can improve his topic or he should stop trying to post that. This can lead to unnecessary user leaving and we have more work to create PM manually.
