Is it possible to add an icon to create New Topic in the navbar?

One of the main features in a community is to add a new topic, but having the button scroll with the rest of the content, doesn’t seem “right” to me. Also, if I’m in a category where I can’t create a new topic (for example here, in the Documentation section), then I have to click the “back to the forum” link, to then click New Topic.

Can I add an icon like this, which will make it always possible to create a new topic, regardless of where I am?

EDIT: It seems that it’s possible with this component? Is that the only way, or is there a workaround for those communities that are not self-hosted and where the monthly plan doesn’t allow themes and components?

Do you mean hosted? Self-hosted folks can install what they like!

Check your hosting product plan - it should make clear what you can install or not.

My bad… I just changed it.
It’s for managed hosting communities, not self-hosted.

Looks like you could install that Theme Component on the discourse.org standard plan?

Yes, I saw that too. I was just wondering if there was a workaround, since I will start with a lower plan? I’m thinking of using Communiteq though, so I will email them asking about this as well. Thanks!

Have you had a look at the component below?

They allow you to install theme components on all their plans
