Is there a way to see all security settings for categories and sub-categories in one place?

I’m trying to make sure I have all permissions correct on all my categories and sub-categories with the relevant groups. Going in and out of each category individually is cumbersome, and sometimes I have to remember to go back and change a category after I’ve changed the sub-category because there are restrictions (or is that the other way around…?).

Anyway, it would be wonderful if I could just see a list of all category permissions settings to make sure they’re correct.

(Maybe this is a feature request, if it doesn’t exist.)

I think perhaps the page(s) you want will be in /g/GROUP-SLUG/permissions

For example, for /g/trust_level_2/permissions

Oh, this is helpful. It comes at the problem the other way around. It should mostly work as long as all my users are properly assigned to groups.

I can’t see permissions for “everyone” though, or for “anonymous” (not logged in). I’ve actually set login required so there shouldn’t be any anonymous viewing, but it would be handy to check “anonymous” in other scenarios.

Also, I assume “everyone” will include the general public (anonymous, not logged in) if login required is NOT set? “Everyone” is the default for all categories, so that’s a little slippery.

Is there a way to check the permissions of logged in users (er… users with accounts) with no other group assigned (apart from trust levels)? I assume their trust level will rise over time, so there’s no other definitive way to find them. Now I’m worried some users may slip through the cracks of my automation or manual assignments and not be properly assigned to the groups that control category access. Hmm, now that I’m thinking from a group perspective vs. category perspective, I’ve raised a slightly different quandary for myself…

I created a theme component to make that a little easier.
