Logged in users have no way to navigate back after using a redeemed invitation link

Hi

I hope this has not been discussed in a previous conversation and I’m not repeating a request, but when a logged in user clicks on an invitation link that they have redeemed all they see is the error message “You have already redeemed this invite link.”

Even though they are logged in, the navigation which is available for logged in users disappears and they have no way to navigate back to the community (except for clicking on the logo). Is this design on purpose?

If it’s by design, my question would be why is it better to hide the navigation for logged in users? Is there an easy way to get the navigation back i.e. the default header which displays the logo and profile picture?

Thanks!

this is a big problem for our community.
we are using a special invite link to get to a specific topic.
but if a user has already used that link, it show “You have already redeemed this invite link” and can’t go on.

could we please have a link to the “Arrive at topic” field of the invite?

This would be a nice improvement — I can see how this would be helpful when you want to point a mixture of new and returning members to a topic.

I’ve asked our engineering team to ensure that existing members can continue to use the invite link to access the specified arrival topic, but at this point I do not have an ETA for when this work will be complete.

We recently merged an update that lets existing members use an invite link to access the topic specified in the invitation’s Arrive at topic field.

If the members is already logged in, they should land on that topic directly.

If the member is not logged in, they should land on that topic after logging in.

I think that should address the issue noted here, so I’m going to set this topic to close — if you notice any issues or have any questions, please let us know!
