Have a post with five tags e.g. first-tag, second-tag, third-tag, fourth-tag, fifth-tag, and try to remove “second-tag”. Do I really need to remove the last few tags first?
Hmm…I can’t repro that here on Meta. Can you try updating to latest and seeing if it’s resolved?
Sorry for the delay. It was not latest at the time, no. You were missing two commits by @joffreyjaffeux which may be related. Please try updating and see if that resolves the issue.

Never mind 
Updated to v1.9.0.beta16 +69. It’s better now - I can navigate by mouse scrolling but not by cursor/key arrows/keyboard. It’s not very intuitive and user-friendly 
tag chooser is not using select kit yet, it’s behavior will improve once it will be done.
