Sure, you can. And for browsers that don’t allow extensions, there are external tools that can apply changes inside the browser. I use userstyles and userscripts on Chrome mobile, despite the browser not allowing any extensions.
Yeah but the issue is that it must be installed by the admin, which will probably not be very common. That’s why I didn’t make a custom component for the keyboard shortcuts overlay but rather a userscript.

Category descriptions on my mobile with the dark theme don’t offer enough contrast for me to be comfortable, I have to say. Haven’t yet checked out the rest but this jumped out at me when I switched themes.

I’m with @nathank here the font looks weird. I get its probably meant to look friendly but…
I’m not sure what I think of this in light mode. I don’t see purple; more of a very pale lavender.
I like the dark mode version quite a lot!
Having said that, the discourse logo clashes pretty hard with the dark mode - particularly, the splash screen:
Looks like Sam’s theme, the corners is a little weird but it’s cool mainly that border-bottom at the header.

On Desktop, I really like the Meta Branded theme (oddly the colours are fine there!), very nice - great job!
Update: it doesn’t really seem to be respecting my color theme anymore unless the WCAG dark theme as updated because it’s lighter now. Theme or scheme issue?
This is a good point per example this is Sam’s Theme as a light mode I am using light mode ‘Default Meta Branded’ but the dark mode is weird the corners colours and fonts you know? for me works but I understand that the patters of colours to dark mode chooiced could be better.

We’re overwriting colors on the theme right now, independent from the selected color scheme. It’s not ideal, some color schemes (like WCAG) introduce additional declarations and then their colors bleed in on some elements. It also makes it more difficult to work with and improve the colors.
For context, the previous version of the Meta Branded theme was not that strongly branded, it adjusted to any color scheme:
That’s not how the new theme is supposed to work, we want to have a close alignment with the brand styles on the website. Using other color schemes breaks that look.
The current complication on Meta is that we have 20 user-selectable color schemes, and there’s no way to prevent them from being combined with any theme.
It would be great if we could implement a more flexible solution that allows themes to restrict which color schemes can be applied to them. So we can ensure visual consistency for a more branded experience like this one.
Same! The previous version of Meta branded was a big no for me, switched away in seconds back to default, this one I can see myself using for now.
Yeah I was definitely being more harsh on the theme when using my phone but it looks great on desktop even with the color overriding. Good work 
Why does the dark palette show blue as the primary, but even though that is what I have selected, it’s purple?

When adding more tags to a topic than can be contained in a single line, when it goes to the next lne, the roundness of the tags and the field cause some of them to be cut off.
I can replicate this here on meta. Also the bottom line gets eaten. Only when your chat is long enough to go onto multiple lines. I use chat in the drawer.
I’m not seeing that, is there a more specific context? Could you also try and switch themes, I’m seeing basically the same on Meta Branded and Foundation:
