That one has me stumped. I canāt find the images on the server to restore them.

Iām told there was an incident in the past that made some uploads from 2017 and before irrecoverable.

These ongoing issues should be resolved now, we switched off hybrid secure uploads on meta which is a custom configuration we only used on meta.

'Updating Last Seen' and 'hijack topics timings' and 'Track Visit' is still running after 90 seconds
The missing images in that topic are linked from a third-party site. They were not uploaded to Meta.
Discourse downloads remote images to local, right?
Yes.
In this case, the urls are returning a 403, and when I look up the post from the rails console, the image_upload_id associated with that post is nil.
The Wayback Machine has one snapshot of that topic from 2020, and thereās no image nor ābroken imageā icon in those two spots like there is in places where images were successfully uploaded.
I suspect the urls were returning a 403 from the time they were posted, so we could never store the images on our own servers.
In any case, thereās no image ID pointing to an image on our servers that would allow me to restore the missing images to the topic.
