Moderator User's Watch List

Is it possible to set default watch lists and/or moderator user’s watch list from the admin panel?

What do you mean by “watch list”?

You can set your account to get notified if someone posts or replies to a category or thread. Since this is an internal company mailing service, we have a couple categories that we’d like to by default set to notify all users when a thread/reply happen.

It is planned in 1.4 to have global new user preference defaults, so if it can be captured as a user preference, this should soon be possible.

I’m rocking v1.4.0.beta8 +4 on my sandbox, would it be in that version?

Nope… “it is planned” = it doesn’t exist, yet

Can you incorporate that idea into the groups as well? So if I user is part of a group they’ll be automatically set to watch categories

What happened to this? I feel this would be a great moderation tool, especially if you have a user or two that just came back after a suspension so you could keep an eye on them.

I’d also like to be able to monitor changes to certain members’ profiles. For example, where I’ve removed links to adult sites, I’d like to be able to easily monitor the accounts to ensure the links are not reinserted.

Why in the wide, wide world of sports would you allow a user to continue to exist if they had adult ads in their profile, ever?

Because we have one or two users who have asked legitimate questions and are genuine members, but whose sites are not sites we would allow them to link to.

Straightforward “escort” profile Spam and similar stuff is different, and yes, we would delete those users.
