Hi,
I’m using Discourse 1.2.0.beta5 on http://community.blendernation.com and noticed that the ‘New’ and ‘Unread’ counts don’t update until I do a full page refresh:
With other Discourse instances that I work with, these counts will update whenever I read those messages. Any idea why this is and how I can fix it?
Thanks!

Try upgrading to the latest that’s on github. @sam fixed this, as I was having the same problem yesterday. They removed my topic since it was fixed.

The particular fix is in beta https://github.com/discourse/discourse/commit/5ddec2e76d0ab6fbe18c19c1d8bf4ec51b635864 I can confirm that, you must be on an tests-passed branch that had this.

Thanks guys! I’m using the Docker installation, and as I’m not a Discourse expert I think I should wait for it to update? What’s a typical time frame for these updates?

just click update again, if still having issues, reboot.

My dashboard still thinks I’m up to date. Will the new version + update option appear here?

Oh that is just brilliant. I am SO impressed with Discourse
Thanks for helping out guys!
Update alas, the update didn’t solve the issue for me :-/
Update 2 clearing my browser cache fixed it. Is that recommended anytime you upgrade?
