I just found this topic. In my experience notifications about new messages when there are no new messages are not unusual… when you alternate multiple devices (i.e. laptop and mobile phone).
We just got a report in our instance - False notifications about new messages - Forum improvements - Movement Strategy Forum. I will pay more attention from now own.
