Is there a setting which allows dividing the whole mass of e-mails to be sent into tranches in a queue, eg 50 per 5-minutes or something?
We’ve hit some limit with our e-mail provider today. Sidekiq handeled that well.
I was just wondering if I could prevent bumping into a limit when the sending of the mails is not that time-critical.
No, unfortunately this isn’t possible at the moment.
Are you using one of the recommended mail providers? None of the solutions listed should impose rate limits which would impact you in this way.
No, we’re going with the mailservice of a provider here in germany.
I’m okay with that since sidekiq seems to be able to manage that.
