Is there a way to edit or re-organize old topics without pushing them to the top of Latest and generating mailing list emails? We would like to clean house but don’t want to confuse users with a flurry of “old” activity.

Press the admin wrench on the topic and “reset bump date”
Remember bumps only happen when you are editing the last post in the topic. And remember the first post is also the last post, when there is only one post in the entire topic…
