Reading Confirmations

Hi,
I am currently deciding whether Discourse is the correct platform for me or not.
I need to be able to create posts for which I see who has read them, and when. We need that for event participations and news posts. Polls are not an option for me.

Is there such feature in Discourse or is there a plugin realizing this?

I’m not sure what format or how much data you are looking for, but you can probably use data explorer for something like this.

Is it possible to see the topics a user has viewed?

Note we do have a built in feature for groups message that can be enabled which does provide this feature.

I would recommend going with data explorer for now for topics but it is a feature that can be built, especially in a plugin to mirror our group reading counter.
