Install this theme component
I created this component because I often struggle to assign the right groups when creating a subcategory.
An error occurred: Any group that is allowed to access a subcategory must also be allowed to access the parent category. The following groups have access to one of the subcategories, but no access to parent category: admins
I frequently see this message because I forget which groups have access to the related category. For example, when I try to restrict a subcategory of the staff category to admins, I sometimes forget that, while I know all admins are staff, Discourse treats these groups independently
This is why I needed a way to quickly check which groups are permitted to access the parent category. And that’s exactly what this component provides.
