I thought this was about monetary contributors.
Perhaps a different term such as “top likers” or “top hearters” would be more descriptive?

In my case “Top Contributors” are people that post valuable contents so “likes” is a good metric for that

As has been mentioned, ‘contributors’ and ‘contributions’ is often used to describe the posts people make to a forum so is fitting for a lot of sites. However, it is possible to rename it to something more suitable for your own site using the top_contributors.title theme translation setting.
