Running public Discourse server w/o Elastic IP assigned

Hi, when deploying Discourse on AWS, is it necessary to assign an Elastic IP address or is a CNAME pointed at the EC2 instance’s public DNS entry enough? e.g. ec2-x-xx-x-xxx.us-east-2.compute.amazonaws.com

If the instance has a public IP and is reachable from the internet, our default install guide will work.
