Screen jittering for a second when opening certain posts direct URL

Steps to repro (on mobile):

  1. Go to 2024: The Year in Review - #4 by system
  2. Click on a topic link
  3. Go back to the previous page
  4. The screen jitters for a second

Tested on Chrome and Firefox.

It also happens when you directly open such a post, but it’s more visible when going back to a post (probably when it doesn’t refresh/load the whole interface).

I’m not sure why. It also does it on the yearly review of my forum, but when I copy-paste the content of those posts into another test topic, it doesn’t happen.

It’s probably not specific to the yearly review itself but rather some content such as a post starting with a title, or a link title… :thinking:

I noticed that too on my tablet (Android) where I use desktop mode. It’s easier to notice when I use Firefox, but it also happens in Chrome.

Safe mode but that doesn’t change anything.

I’ve gotten used to these small earthquakes over the past few months. (I have a screencast recorded on October 6th that documents this behavior.)
