On my osx chrome browser, I am able to select text to quote reply, but it doesn’t work if I select text by triple clicking a paragraph.
to replicate:
while reading a post, double click on a word you want to quote reply. it works and the quote reply link pops up!
now triple click on the word to select the whole paragraph. It doesn’t work and the quote reply goes away.
now select a paragraph by mousing over it. It works!
A minor issue, but one that I keep noticing.

I think this has been reported before, as it only occurs when your triple click includes the last paragraph.
If you only include a middle or the first paragraph, it works fine. It has something to do with the fact the selection is capturing another element at the very end.
A situation I notice regularly is triple clicking the last line of a post, and then trying to do the Quite Reply. But triple clicking seems to select enough extra blank space that
My guess is that essentially selecting the last line and the “return” means that the selection extends outside the bounds of the message and thus disables the “quote reply” feature.
It would be nice if this could be special case/handled so that selecting the last line of the reply including the end of that line stil…

OK so this is a particular thing that I tend to do over and over, I double click paragraphs while I’m reading and the reply button doesn’t actually show up if I select the last paragraph. Presumably because chrome’s selection thing randomly includes bits of the chrome too (it seems to select a little bit after the newline, highlighting at the start of the ‘like’ heart). I don’t know if this is fixable or worth fixing but I thought it should be reported.
