Setting up membership access to different categories

Relatively new to Discourse and found this post, but don’t think it solves what I’m trying to do.

I have a coaching program with two membership levels and would like to set people up to have access to different Categories.

My “high” level program should have access to all the Categories on the forum (less Staff).

My “entry” level program should have access to just one main Category and the Sub-Categories in there.

Is there an easy way to set this up? I tried Groups, can can’t see where Groups lets me determine access at the Category level.

Appreciate any help in advance.

Groups are assigned to categories. Take a look at the security tab in the settings for each category. You can associate groups there.


I see what you mean now. Set the membership levels as Groups, and then in the Category I can assign a group access in Security. Thank you!
