I am a little puzzled as to how people sign or log out from a discourse forum on a public computer. I may have missed something, but I have not been able to find a way, Given the way browsers save previous URLs, I really want to be sure that if I have left the public library, I can be sure I have signed out. This is in a non SSO implementation. What have I missed?
On a public pc, always use incognito/Private browsing mode.
Here is an article you might find interesting:
It’s here on the avatar menu.
There was a discussion about some users having troubles finding the logout button where it is. OP seems to be one of them. Hopefully, once you know, you know.
There’s also a keyboard shortcut for this:
shift+z shift+z
But that won’t eliminate URLs from the browser history. For that you should really be using incognito/privacy mode within the browser itself.
Brill!. We can sort the rest out, but that is the key
Wow that was hard to find but I did. I don’t think it should be so difficult. Perhaps there should be something in settings to allow an administrator to allow a button to appear.
