🇵🇱 Dictionary of Polish translations

Is there anyone here from the Polish translation coordinators/reviewers?

I would like to discuss the glossary used in the translations.

As I understand it, one should adhere to these entries?
like = lajk
likes = lajki
like = lajkować

I know that the SJP (Dictionary of the Polish Language) allows such forms, but in my opinion, this is rather colloquial vocabulary, and in translation, I would prefer simply “polubienia” (likes/favorites), which is not an awkward term.

Was this glossary created after any agreements?
I dug this up because, generally, the Discourse translation is inconsistent in places, and I started unifying it, and then I suddenly discovered the glossary :slight_smile:

In my opinion, likes would be a better option. Alternatively, instead of “likes,” we could implement “liked by x users.” Then there would be no need to worry about incorrect endings.

I’d be happy to help! I just wonder if it wouldn’t be better to strike right here

Not the best thread, but that’s rather irrelevant.
Everything can be changed, of course. What’s more! You can change it yourself if you join the translation efforts :slight_smile:
