I cannot reproduce here on meta. So probably this is not a core bug.
I tried safe mode on your site, and when I disable the themes and theme components, it seems to work.
Maybe have a closer look at your theme customization. It may be related to Moving to a Single Category Style Site Setting and the category icons.
