I’ve noticed when I start a new AI bot PM, it will remove previously saved PM draft. I know this is happens with draft when we start new PM but I think it would be nice to somehow separate AI messages and keep the other PM draft.
So this is actually not a bug with normal PMs because with those there is a warning when composer opened. With AI, I think this is a bug because the user don’t necessarily think that it works the same way and there is no any warning etc…
Hey Saif Thanks for checking. I noticed when I composed a realy looong pm to one of our member and wanted to check something with AI bot before sending. So I just saved it as draft and sent a message to AI after I got the answer I searched the draft which was nowhere.
I’ve done that some times — when the prompt was longer and something came up before I was ready. But actually with o1 I’m using draft’ish style all the time, but for that I have a private topic and then I do copy&paste.
But I’m totally sure any of my users haven’t needed drafts ever, and they use one or two sentences long prompts sended right away.
It is tricky, we do have some work coming up supporting multiple drafts… once that is in play we should be in a very good state to properly fix this in AI.
I guess an opening move here would be to allow for a “draft less” composer for the first message to the bot. At least then we will not be fighting for drafts. But I don’t think core supports this yet.
