Okay, so I bought a domain (and got a free email) from 1&1 IONOS, and am hosting a Discourse server on Linode. I set up Discourse, make my account, and when I checked my spam, the emails were being sent by me? I set it up so that it would go directly into my 1&1 email account, however, when I go to the “email” tab in the admin panel, everything checks out except for domain, which is set as gmail.com. I can’t even change it, please help.
If you run discourse-setup you can change the notification email address.
Did you do a standard install?

Fixed! I thought “notification email” was something else.
