SystemRescue

1.I tried to get in contact to “SystemRescue” to recieve support on computer
issues. But now I’m here. There is no commitment at my mail address by Discourse.

2.But maybe anybody can give answer on “Just a moment”
That hint I get permanent while clicking on a address in search results.
There are only some few addresses where I get redirected.
The “Just a moment” penetration is connected to the cloudflare address.
The behaviour doesn’t disappear while using live systems.

Thanks for answering but please only concrete response, no speculations.

Hello and welcome @Hans_N

I’m having a little trouble following what you mean? Is this an issue with the https://forums.system-rescue.org/ forum?

I’m afraid we might not be much help addressing this problem if it’s a configuration issue with that particular site, and you may get better results persevering in contacting them. :crossed_fingers:

Though if you can reproduce the issue on this site too then it may indicate a wider problem that can be looked into.

  1. Hi,
the issue occurs independent from Discourse as described.
Thats why I try to register me on SystemRescue but Discourse is the
    agent in the middle.
Did you understand the situation? A click on an address in the search results
links to another hijacking-address: “Just a moment”
Who knows or is affected by a similiar situation and knows about stopping
    that.

2.Furthermore I didn’t get access to enter the forum there by Discourse.

Ah. I think maybe the login screen for the system-rescue forum may have given the wrong idea. It seems they’ve left the out-of-the-box ‘Discourse’ logo in place rather than adding their own branding. Discourse is the underlying forum software, but has nothing to do with handling any support requests, etc for any of the sites using it.

This forum (https://meta.discourse.org/) is the support forum for Discourse itself. If the problem you’re having is with the system-rescue software then you would need to contact them (and the same for any login or signup issues to their site).

Does that make sense?

No offense to the company if they are legit, but exactly who are these guys and why do you need them?

The fact that it is private raises alarm bells to me.

“System Rescue” is a typical scam run by people who claim you need technical help and they then proceed to make up issues or install malware on your computer.

Be very wary!

From what I can see, that forum has one user. i’d avoid it. they just happen to be using our open source software and still have our logo on the login screen.

1.This is no conf. error. with one address but several. This is redirection, hijacking.
Search for yourself after SystemRescue Forum. I dont want to copy maybe
an infected link here.
I cannot send a screenshot here.

2.No. Its possibly hijacking too.
There is no other contact to the SystemRescue forum. The login is occupied by Discourse and links to here.

All redirections attacks happen with the fresh use of a live system.
The means the attacks are being started from outside on network server.

this is not a Discourse issue. as stated, you should avoid that forum.
