Sometimes on random topics the timing event is not fired and so the back button does not appear and the page does not scroll to the correct position when loading. This happens consistently for the same topics and there seems to be no errors occurring the console the timings event just is never fired like on other posts. This happens even with all components disabled and with the default light theme.
I think you are mistaken about how the timings event works. They are not required for scrolling to a particular post. They are fired on a regular basis to keep track of what you’ve read. If you’re not experiencing scrolling to a post if you could provide detailed steps to reproduce we’d appreciate it. A video can also be helpful for things like these.
