How to avoid/ turn off this message??

I can barely see behind this screenshot, but it appears you might have been putting the link in the Title field instead of the Topic content box. Try giving a descriptive title of the contents of the drive item, and place the link in the Topic instead of the Title field.

Hmm we do support using a link as a title, and have placeholder text to encourage it… maybe we should exempt links from the “very long word” message?
I guess on the other hand, a long link that doesn’t have the metadata to auto-populate to a reasonable title might not be useful (start a new topic with a wikipedia entry link as a title, if you’re wondering what I mean by “auto populate the title”).
If you want to disable the error, there’s a site setting called title max word length that can be adjusted.
