Topic change history

Hi,

I can’t find anything about this on meta or when searching my Discourse settings so thought I’d ask here.

Is there any functionality in Discourse Core or through a plugin/theme component that allows a short description of changes made to a topic?

I am setting up a category with the Doc plugin. The topics I will index in the plugin will only be edited by specific user levels and when changes are made I would like sort of a change log at the bottom of the topic. Does this exist?

I looked at the Revision functionality and Footnote features but those don’t really fit what I am looking for.

Thank you!

I’m not aware of anything (we write a manual change log at the bottom of topics where it is relevant) but it’s a good idea.

For extra context, it looks something like this:

The editor of a topic can provide a short blurp what changes are made (can be restricted to x amount of characters). And in case more than 3 edits have been made, only show the first 3 with the option to show more (folding out the rest or 3 each time “show more” is clicked).

For now I will just do this at the bottom of my topic
