Trouble Configuring AI Persona for DM or Group Chats

I’m having trouble making the AI persona accessible in direct messages or group chats on the forum. I’ve been trying to configure it to work, but it’s not working. Specifically, I’ve tried the following:

`Configuration steps:

  1. Enabled AI persona in settings
  2. Verified channel permissions
  3. Restarted the forum`

However, I keep getting messages saying the persona can't access the channel, and wasn’t notified. The error below :

did you create a bot user in the persona setting page? then you can enable mentions and chat.

Hi Lilly, yes, I created the bot user in the Persona setting and enabled all those settings as shown above, but it still showing that message.

do you have an LLM configured on the bot? and in the LLM page do you see this?

We can’t use AI in private group chats. It works only on channels, that are category based (if group limitations allow it) or 1:1 with AI.

Yes I have LLM Configured, even changed the trust level of those categories that can access this AI Persona making it available for every user’s
