Troubleshooting Port Access

maybe it just took time to repopulate? SSL seems to be good now… I’m trying to get the initial email to send but it doesn’t seem to be working yet… send grid doesn’t seem to be receiving it.

You might have outgoing mail blocked. You might try port 2525.

getting back to this I changed the settings in the container app to 2525 and then rebuilt it but still not sending… Sendgrid still isn’t saying that it didnt receive it.

I Just ran Discourse Doctor and according to it the email was accepted by the SMTP server however I dont show anything in the SendGrid logs

Below is discourse Doctor print out

For a robust test, get an address from http://www.mail-tester.com/

Or just send a test message to yourself.

Email address for mail test? ('n' to skip) [matthew@Virtusventurs.com]:

Sending mail to matthew@Virtusventurs.com. . .

Testing sending to matthew@Virtusventurs.com using smtp.sendgrid.net:2525.

SMTP server connection successful.

Sending to matthew@Virtusventurs.com. . .

Mail accepted by SMTP server.

If you do not receive the message, check your SPAM folder

or test again using a service like http://www.mail-tester.com/.

If the message is not delivered it is not a problem with Discourse.

Check the SMTP server logs to see why it failed to deliver the message.

Thanks… I actually changed the domain so the complete email was not floating around… it is spelled correctly in the containers folder
