Users can hide specific revisions in edit history?

We recently upgraded to the latest beta and noticed that users can now hide their revisions in the post edit history. I recall this used to be a staff-only feature. Is this new or some sort of bug? I would prefer all revisions to be visible for accountability reasons.

Was this setting changed? edit history visible to public

Are you referring to the hide revision?

The site setting was not changed. Yes, I’m referring to the hide revision button in the history pop-up when you click the pencil icon.

I am not aware of any changes in this area. The setting defaults to off, so edit revisions are visible to all.

That’s odd because we had a user hide one of their edits, which is something I’ve never seen before prior to upgrading. I hit the show revision button to undo it. Will keep an eye out to see if it happens again. Thanks.

Oh you are referring to the Hide Revision button in the Edit History dialog. That’s a different thing! Let me edit your title to clarify.

@codinghorror I am also confused… How did a TL3 hide the revision?

It is a bug, that is how
