Using discourse to manage support emails: receive and reply

Hello everyone,

I was really pleased to discover this feature of Discourse,

Configuring incoming email to create new topics or group messages

It is setup so that support emails create a new topic in a private category that the team an triage: move to a public category or reply by email of the uses does not have an account on the forum.

When we write a reply, it is possible that Discourse also sends the reply as an email to the original poster? When OP does not have an account on the forum it is the only way we can contact them, but we would like to do this all from Discourse.

Hope that makes sense, we are on the $100 tier.

Let me answer my own question.

  • Clicking reply to a user without an account automatically sends them an email.
  • The user can respond to this from there email.

Discourse already did what I was hoping :clap:
