Way To "Unmute" Many Topics At Once

Hello Discourse,
I am a user from one of your forums. (hopscotch forum)

Recently, I learned how to find your unread topics. (By going on to the “mobile” interface)
I cleared my unread topics, but I didn’t notice that I had decided to mute all of the topics.

Now, I have around 1,500 topics that are all muted.

Is there a way to unmute all of the topics at once?

Thanks,
MiNi!

Visit your preferences and ther eis a link (towards the bottom) that will help you see all of the topics you muted. Unfortunately, I don’t think there is a way to do it in bulk, but at least this way you can quickly get back to them.

This is what I did on Discourse 1.9.0…

  1. Go to https://forum.example.com/latest?state=muted
  2. Scroll until you get to the bottom to load all the topics.
  3. Scroll back to the top, hit the Topic button on the left side of the screen and then the Select All button right next to it.
  4. On the right side of the screen, hit the :wrench: , then Notifications, then Normal, then Notifications again to save.

Hi, does anyone know how to do it nowadays? Perhaps with some script if it’s not possible using the UI.

I was muting topics over the years but I’ve changed the way I use a forum and would like to see many of the threads I muted when they’re bumped. Watching Latest Muted doesn’t work for me because I still would like to mute some threads.

Isn’t this covered by using the bulk actions menu?

bulk action menu enables a selctor on each topic in list

You would select all the topics and set the notification level…

Hmmm I don’t think I have this menu on my forum https://forums.crateentertainment.com/ but perhaps I’m dumb.

The bulk action is a staff button, so it depends on what role you have on that forum. If you’re a staff member and you’re using a mobile, you can make it show up by flipping to Desktop View.
