What does the "Top Referrers" table mean?

Can’t get my head around the “Top Referrers” table with Clicks and Topics columns. Could someone explain what this table exactly means?

Is this about number of clicks made by visitors on inter-links to navigate to a different topic, OR incoming clicks from outside world per author and per their ropic, OR something else?

P.S. Not sure if this explains it correctly to date?
