What email address is used to send out notifications?

I’m about to dive into installing Discourse the first time, and the instructions are clear, but I’m wondering what email address is used to send out notifications once the Discourse is up?

Is it the email address of the admin account that is supplied during install?

Hostname for your Discourse? [discourse.example.com]: 
Email address for admin account(s)? [me@example.com,you@example.com]:

Although, seen as one can specify multiple addresses, I guess the notification email address can be set up later?

The email is configured later, via the notification email site setting. You’ll want to ensure the domain of that site setting matches the domain you configured in your mail server.
