When "closing" event it moves it to today's date & time

When you click on the ellipses (…) and close the event, it moves to today’s date and time. My assumption is that closing the event should retain the original scheduled day and time.

I’m confused. By “event” are you referring to the Official Discourse Calendar (and Event) Plugin?

Whoops, you are correct. We had an event that was created with this plugin, and when we clicked this ellipses (top right of the image below) and selected Close Event, it moved the week to that current time & date.

I am also able to get a repro. Plugin version is 0.4

We are on it, will have a look over the next 5 business days and hopefully sort it out.

Just opened a PR to add support for “closed” events :+1:

Before that we only relied on the start and end dates to determine whether an event was “expired”, hence why we had to overwrite the event dates to be “in the past”.
