I’m working on the images for my forum and I noticed that there are 2 pages for this, each with some unique settings and descriptions. For example in Branding there’s a place for X/Twitter, but in Site Logo, there isn’t.
Why not redirecting this:
to this page instead?
/admin/site_settings/category/branding
The All site settings represents all the individual settings.
The Site Logo page is dedicated to making it easier to configure your branding logo. (I believe there is work in progress regarding it).
For example, if you update the primary logo, the individual Logo, Digest logo, and Mobile logo settings will also be updated. You can see that settings are categorized, and you have an overall better admin experience when you need to set them up.
But my question is: do these pages affect things differently on the forum? If not, then why not merge them? I don’t see the advantage of having 2 different pages that do the same thing. All those extras of updating image X and updating images Y and Z, can all be merged into a single page.
For example, if I go to Site Logo, I don’t have the X/Twitter option. So I need to go to Branding. So if I need to go to Branding to do something and all the other options from Site Logo are there, then what’s the real purpose of having Site Logo? From what I see now, there’s none. I feel like it adds complexity that doesn’t need to exist.
This is partially because we’re in-between a legacy and new admin experience — the “all site settings” page won’t exist forever as we migrate to new structures, and in the meantime there will be some duplication
Don’t know what’s coming, but I expect nothing but a good experience. If things get grouped into a single panel and things like that, I’m all for it!

He’s right about this. X summary large image is missing from the Site logo page. From what I see on FEATURE: rebranded admin logos settings by lis2 · Pull Request #31554 · discourse/discourse · GitHub, the translations are ready; or is it intended?
