Bright Cove Video Support
There is a request to support BrightCove videos in Discourse, similar to Youtube BCHK. codinghorror asks for example URLs from Slate and Reuters to test, which BCHK provides.
However, codinghorror finds that the embed codes for Reuters and BrightCove videos are not user-friendly. The Reuters embed code uses a complex flash object, while BrightCove’s embed option requires logging in when selecting WordPress. BCHK is disappointed but acknowledges that the sites may not be socially savvy.
It would be very nice if BrightCove (the leading corporate video provider - and what Slate.com and Reuters use for their videos) was supported in Discourse the way that Youtube was supported:

Neither of these is particularly friendly to embedding. The embed option for the latter, when selecting WordPress, forces you to log in!
Bummer.. Thanks for your efforts. Sounds like both of these sites are not too socially savvy. Oh Well…
